My Inspiration

Everyone needs alittle inspiration in their life, and mine is my family. As you can see from my designs on my Etsy Store, my kids are my biggest inspiration. This post is about them, and my wonderful husband Christopher.

I consider myself very lucky to have 3 happy, healthy little and not so little boys in my life. My oldest son's name is Gabriel. He turned 11 in February. I have no idea how he get so old so fast! It's like I blinked and he is a pre-teen.

My middle son is Noah. He is my little music maker. He is always busy creating new beats on his computer, or kicking some butt on his video games. Noah just turned 10 in April... again.. how to do they grow up so fast!?

My baby boy is Julian. He is currently 3. These days are spent singing to Disney Junior and riding around our neighborhood on our bike and trailer. I love that I get to stay home with him everyday and experience how he grows and learns. I think I am leaving just as much about myself, as I am about him.

So those are my kids. They keep my busy when I am not creating fantastic designs for all of you.

Last. but not least, is my husband Christopher. He is the inspiration behind my older nerdy adult designs. We met playing World of Warcraft online. Yup, we are one of those nerdy couples who believe "Those who play together... stay together" While we don't play WoW anymore, we do play other games together and with our kids. Chris and I got met 6 years ago... it has been a wonderful 6 years so far!

Welcome to Novel Concept Designs!

Hello!

My name is Ama and I would like to welcome you to my Novel Concept Designs blog. I have always enjoyed creating items with Photoshop. This desire was born while I was playing World of Warcraft and RPing on Online in forms. I would create Icons and Banners for my characters. I moved on to created images for websites and then finally to creating invitations for my children.

I never went to school for graphic design, therefor I am completely self-taught. I do not claim to know everything and I enjoy learning new things every day.

I opened a store on Etsy this last December after my friends and family kept telling how I really should sell my designs for other people to enjoy. It's become fairly successful and I really like contributing some money to my family while staying home with my kids. You will become very familial with my children as they are usually the ones pictured in my invitations. Well, except for girl ones, that is my very best friend Amber's child, Ellison.

My kids are Gabriel, Noah and Jude. That's right... all boys! I have my hands full for sure!

Custom Order for Winnie!

Minecraft "Phineas and Ferb Style"

Winnie came to me with an idea. She wanted to use the format from my Phineas and Ferb Invitation but with a Minecraft theme. I have recently started making some Minecraft themes. I am not really sure why I didn't think of it before. My two older sons (Gabe and Noah) are completely addicted to Minecraft. I didn't click in my head that Minecraft Invitations would sell. I am very glad I figured this one out.

Custom Order for Temira

Disney Junior Part 5....

Another Disney Junior Invitation?! I have a feeling I will be creating new versions of Disney Junior for a long time. There really are an unlimited ways to use the characters with different themes.

Temira contacted me because she was having a Carnival Themed party for her son's first birthday. She wanted certain Disney Junior characters on it with a carnival feel.

Custom Order for Pearl and Associates

Brunch Invitation

This was my first custom order for a business. Jessi is a friend of mine and she works at a Real Estate Office. Her boss is throwing a brunch for some of their business associates.

The inspiration for this invitation came from my own personal wedding invitations. Jessi and her husband attended our wedding. Her adorable little daughter was our flower girl.
